Check the NOVA page's for pictures and information about the Nova. This is a brief history of the different stages it went through to get where it is today. More changes coming up later.
"Special Notice" The Garage has been expanded to include a '64 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt Clone. This car started with a Fairlane body that I saw sitting on the roadside with a "for sale" sign on the windshield. After talking to the owner and waiting for a failed sale to be effective, I bought it for $400.00. It sat in my driveway for about 2 years while I decided what I wanted to do with it. I wanted something that would be different and at the same time be drivable on the street. The decision was made to "clone" the Thunderbolt. My friend, Doug Forschner, talked to 'Dyno Don' Nicholson at a Columbus, Ohio swap meet and learned that he and Charles Crites (Crites Industries) had restored a T-Bolt and were reproducing a lot of the parts. I started gathering parts needed for the build. It then went to Doug's garage for the build. The outside was kept like the original as much as we could and the interior was done to suit me. Three months later I brought home what you can see here. This car is powered with a 1978 302 bored .040 and fitted with TRW forged flat-tops. The cam is a PBM, AT 294 degrees and .512 lift. Rocker arms are converted to rollers. Exaust is Hooker Super Comp [coated] thru 2 1/2in Flowmasters and exit in front of the rear tires. This car cruises nicely on 87 octane gas and gets about 18 mpg. Check the pages on it also!! Second Special Notice This is my Third Special Vehicle I now have a 1977 Chevy Vega GT Hatchback. It is just at the starting stage (Feb '06) and will be updated as progress is made. Check back later!!! Thanks for the visit!!! |
