My Nova 3

Still on installing the 406.
This is hard work for an "OLD" Coot!!! I had a lot of help from my friend Doug Forschner. Doug and I worked togather at G.E.Co. We are both retired now. Don't know how I could have done it without him.

Thanks Doug!!!!!!!!

New Oil Cooler.
This is a new honeycomb cooler that is supposed to be a lot more efficiant than the tube type.

This may be used for crankcase cooling..

Trans cooler lines
I placed the trans lines through the frame part of engine mount. It is insulated with heavy rubber hose at all contact points.
The 406 going in!!
This is what I was waiting for--dropping it in the Bay.

The heads are #186 iron Chevy castings with 2.02 x 1.60 stainless Manley valves, pocket ported by me, screw-in studs and guide plates, new Z-28 springs and 67cc chambers.

Ready for transplant.
Up on stands getting ready to drop the 406 transplant in.
The other side while waiting for the transplant.

This is in my back driveway.
Doing this the hard way! Notice the incline of driveway. Every thing wants to go down hill, therefore I must chain the "CHERRY PICKER" to the house in order to keep up with it. There isn't a level place on my lot!!

Driver side Installed.
Here is the completed job. Now if it will "RUN".
Passenger side Installed.

Just admiring the other side. Sure glad that is complete..
